It’s easy to fall in love with Southwest Florida’s luxury real estate. But when you do and when choosing a piece of real estate in Southwest Florida, there are a number of things to consider. Here are three of them.
It’s all about location
There’s no doubt that Southwest Florida is one of the most beautiful locations in the country, if not the world. The saying goes “It’s all about location, location, location,” and truly Southwest Florida is prime.
However, there are a lot of cities in Southwest Florida to choose from when it comes time to call one home. Be sure to do your research on the popular cities in the area and what each has to offer. If you’re not sure who to talk to about this, you can reach out to local experts directly.
The weather is nearly perfect
A positive note to owning a piece of Southwest Florida’s luxury real estate is you’ll wake to perfect weather nearly every day. Enjoying some of the best weather in the country, Naples’ temperatures typically vary from 54°F to 91°F and is rarely below 41°F or above 94°F. Not to mention, there are — on average — 271 sunny days in Southwest Florida a year, compared to the United States’ average of 205.
Not only does its proximity to the equator forge a tropical paradise, but the beauty of this area is not limited to solely its beaches. Southwest Florida also has miles of canals and lakes on which to build your dream home.
If you’re not one for the water, the area is also known for the arts and its premier shopping and dining destinations. There’s truly something for everyone in this paradise of ours.
Home prices are going up
Time is of the essence when it comes to buying real estate in Southwest Florida because home prices are increasing due to extremely high demand. After spending months quarantined in the frigid North, many are looking to ditch living in the cold and not just seasonally, but for good.
In fact, according to the September 2020 Market Report released by the Naples Area Board of Realtors (NABOR), which tracks home listings and sales within Collier County (excluding Marco Island), the greater-Naples area reported its best month on record. Closed sales increased 52.9% and pending sales activity also increased by 83.4% compared to September 2019.
High demand is driving up home prices, as the median closed prices for September also increased by 18.2%. It’s not deterring buyers, and many are buying sight unseen. Truly the time to buy Southwest Florida luxury real estate is now.
